Project Overview
Location: Croyde, North Devon
Scope: Curtains and Roman Blinds for Cottage Windows
The Challenge
This quirky cottage featured charming but uneven windows, presenting a challenge to achieve a cohesive and functional look while maximising natural light. The homeowners wanted elegant curtains and Roman blinds with a seamless fit.
The Solution
– Curtains
Fabric: Pussywillow Hedgegrow by Laura Ashley (featured in Pictures 003, 004, and 005).
Lining & Heading: Curtains were lined and finished with a double pinch pleat heading for a luxurious drape.
Track: Installed Evaglide tracks, bent around onto the wall to allow curtains to stack back neatly off the window, ensuring maximum light exposure.
– Roman Blinds
Fabric: Matching Pussywillow Hedgegrow fabric used for Roman blinds (featured in Picture 004).
Additional Fabric: Charlotte Forest by Prestigious Textiles (featured in Pictures 006 and 007) added further elegance and variety across the space.
All curtains and blinds were handmade to ensure a perfect fit and a bespoke finish.
The Results
The combination of carefully chosen fabrics and custom-made curtains and blinds transformed the cottage, enhancing its quirky charm while making the most of its natural light. The Evaglide tracks provided a practical yet stylish solution, ensuring the curtains could be drawn back fully.
Client Testimonial
